    STEF group has acquired Frigosuisse SA and an operating warehouse
    STEF group, the European leader for temperature sensitive logistics, is strengthening its activities in Switzerland by acquiring the company Frigosuisse SA and an operating warehouse in Aargau.
     
    Borel & Barbey advised STEF Suisse SA and Immostef Suisse SA in connection with these acquisitions. The team was led by Arnaud Cywie and Alexandre Gallopin with the support of Clément Neveceral and Vincent Berger.

    TITAN Aviation Fuels has acquired AKRYL
    TITAN Aviation Fuels, one of the largest suppliers of aviation fuel products in the United States, has acquired AKRYL, an aviation fuel reseller with a world-wide digital fuel procurement platform based in Geneva, Switzerland. Borel & Barbey advised for the acquisition.

    Alpian SA obtained its banking license and closed its Series B+ financing round raising CHF 19 million
    Alpian SA (www.alpian.com) obtained its banking license and successfully closed a Series B+ financing round raising CHF 19 million. Alpian SA is a company incubated by REYL Intesa Sanpaolo. The company aims at developing a fully digital platform through which to serve the mass affluent client segment, typically comprising individuals with investable assets ranging from CHF 100,000 to CHF 1 million. Borel & Barbey advised Alpian SA in the context of the structuring and execution of this Series B+ financing round. The team included Luca BozzoAlexandre Gallopin and Audrey Tasso.

    Continuing education of foundation boards
    Stéphanie La Roche spoke at the Foundation Board Academy on 10 March 2022 to present and discuss with participants aspects of good governance of charitable foundations, relations with the supervisory and tax authorities and the evolution of foundation law.
     
    The Foundation Board Academy is dedicated to the continuing education of foundation boards and was founded by Beate Eckhardt, expert in strategy and philanthropy and former Director of SwissFoundations, Professor Georg von Schnurbein, Director of the Center for Philanthropy Studies in Switzerland at the University of Basel, and Etienne Eichenberger, philanthropy consultant and managing partner of WISE philanthropy advisors.

    Invaluable, the world’s leading online marketplace for premier auction houses selling fine and decorative arts and collectibles, has acquired the Swiss technology company Artmyn SA. Artmyn has developed an art-scanning technology for authenticating artworks and delivering unique digital representations of physical artwork and NFTs. Borel & Barbey advised Artmyn for this acquisition. The team was led by Anne Laure Bandle and Alexandre Gallopin.
     
    Artmyn scans artworks and captures tens of thousands of photographs with different light sources and spectrums, now including infrared lights. The process generates a 5D interactive file and a short immersive video containing more than 1.5 billion pixels — offering auction houses, consignors and buyers unparalleled views and feelings of texture for each scanned artwork (www.artmyn.com).
